Today's lesson for those who want to condemn Senator Byrd for something he did in his youth

A wise man once said those passages have been removed from the neocons' bibles.
And he made the "n" word comment just a couple years ago.
Byrd may have been in the Klan in the 30's or whatever, but he's still a racist to this day.
And he's still never uttered an actual apology for his Klan membership. Lots of Byrdesque rhetoric about regret and youthful indescretions and stuff like that, but nothing approaching a real mea culpa.
